Zakat Donations
"The
alms are only for the poor and the needy, and for those employed in connection
therewith, and for those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and for the (freeing
of) slaves, and for those in debt, and for the cause of Allah, and for the
wayfarer – an ordinance from Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, Wise." [Quran
9:60]
Pakistan Relief will gladly accept your Zakat
contributions. All our programs are geared towards the very poor of Pakistan. To
the best of our knowledge, we believe that these poor are deserving of your
Zakat donations. And only Allah knows best. For the bags of wheat distribution,
we have done independent verification of their household conditions and issued
them Zakat cards. Our medical facilities are visited by the poorest sections of
the society. In most cases the mothers who are having babies in our maternity
ward would have only the alternative of having the baby at home, without a
doctor, in un-sanitary conditions, at a risk to themselves and their
baby. Additionally, for the blanket distribution program, we are providing
blankets to predominantly homeless street people.
Additionally, Pakistan Relief may sends funds to qualified NGOs who run projects for extremely poor
in the area of healthcare services and child care services. Our policy is to only fund Zakat type projects.
May Allah
bless you for your donations and accept your deeds. Ameen. Who
